Geghard

A Middle Age temple hewed in the rock. The name refers to the lance used to pierce Jesus' side when he was on the cross. Geghard is cut into the side of a cliff and surrounded by ancient gravestones. It distinguishes the temple from other ancient churches. The acoustics in the church is amazing - the sound can last for as long as 30-40 seconds can. This secret of old building has never been found. Inside of the temple there is a natural spring with wonderful tasty water.
